Frontenac Homes is a St. Louis–based custom home builder founded on the belief that exceptional design, quality craftsmanship, and transparent communication should define every project.
Led by brothers Tim and Pat Dolan, Frontenac Homes combines decades of construction and business experience to deliver luxury residences that are as well built as they are beautifully designed.
Each Frontenac home reflects a balance of artistry and precision — guided by a meticulous process that ensures budgets stay on track, schedules stay tight, and clients stay informed. From the first meeting to the final walkthrough, our team approaches every build with the care and accountability of a family-owned firm and the sophistication of a seasoned construction company.

Co-Founder & Director of Construction
Tim Dolan brings over 20 years of high-end residential construction experience to Frontenac Homes. As Co-Founder and Director of Construction, he oversees every project from design development through completion with an unmatched focus on craftsmanship, precision, and customer satisfaction.
Before founding Frontenac Homes, Tim served in key leadership and project management roles with some of St. Louis’ most respected luxury builders — most notably Minton Homes, where he was deeply involved in the creation of some of the region’s finest custom estates. He managed multimillion-dollar residences in Ladue, Frontenac, and Town & Country, collaborating with renowned architectural firms including Jeff Day & Associates, Larry Boarder Architects, Paul Fendler Architects, and Dick Busch Architects.
These landmark projects ranged from 5,000 to 25,000 square feet and represented construction budgets exceeding $40 million in total. Many were featured in design publications and in Betty Lou Phillips’ noted interior design book.
Tim’s background also includes senior roles with established builders such as PK Construction and CF Vatterott, where he led large-scale residential and multifamily developments. His depth of experience gives Frontenac Homes the systems, standards, and professionalism of a major builder — paired with the hands-on attention only a boutique firm can provide.
A graduate of the University of Dayton with a Master’s in Construction Management from Washington University in St. Louis, Tim is also a LEED Accredited Professional and Six Sigma Green Belt, recognized for his commitment to efficiency, sustainability, and quality.
At Frontenac Homes, Tim ensures every home reflects timeless design, enduring craftsmanship & quality, and the seamless execution that discerning homeowners expect.

Co-Founder & Director of Business Operations
Pat brings a strong foundation in finance, operations, and client relations to every Frontenac Homes project. While Tim leads the construction side, Pat ensures each home is built on a framework of sound budgeting, transparent financial management, and efficient execution.
Pat oversees all aspects of budget development, permitting, and subcontractor oversight, ensuring every dollar and every detail align with the client’s goals. His approach emphasizes clarity, accountability, and open communication — values that help clients feel confident throughout the building process.
As a licensed real estate agent, Pat brings a practical understanding of the St. Louis market and the complete journey from concept to closing.
Before co-founding Frontenac Homes, Pat built a 20-year career in corporate finance and strategy. He has held senior leadership roles in finance, mergers & acquisitions, and operations at major companies including Lumen Technologies, Peabody Energy, and Ernst & Young Consulting.
Pat earned both his MBA and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Saint Louis University. His blend of financial discipline, operational expertise, and client-focused leadership ensures that Frontenac Homes operates with the professionalism of a large firm - and the personal touch of a family owned builder.
